Nutrition details: Good Culture Low Fat Cottage Cheese (Per 1/2 cup: 80 calories, 2.5 g fat, 14 g protein), Dave’s Bread Thin-Sliced Good Seed (Per slice: 70 calories, 3g protein, 13g carbohydrates), Nate’s Raw & Unfiltered Honey (Per TBSP: 70 calories, 18g carbohydrates).
Americans have loved cottage cheese for decades, but it fell off when yogurt took its rise. It’s a good source of protein, lower fat than a lot of other cheeses, and can be mixed into a plethora of recipes (pasta sauces, on toasts, lasagnas, etc.) in order to add that creamy, cheesy taste, without sacrificing the nutrition. If you swap it for ricotta cheese in recipes, you’ll save 120+ calories and 12+ grams of fat. I’m loving this toast for breakfast after a workout.
