Top 10 pieces of art from minted

Minted isn’t just for wedding registries and stationary - it’s my go-to place to buy art for clients. It’s affordable, customizable and supports independent artists of all styles. But there is A TON of art on the site and it can be hard to sit and sift through it all. Luckily, I’ve done the work for you! Here are my 10 favorite pieces of art from Minted:

  1. Last Tuesday

  2. Mother Holds

  3. The World is Your Oyster

  4. Fallen

  5. Misty Lake

  6. Ingress and Paths Under Moonlight

  7. Growth II

  8. Arches

  9. Summer Handstand

  10. Magnolia Study

Elevated Tip: If you’re wondering how to hang art, check out my post, “A guide to art placement.”

1.“Last Tuesday”

  • This piece is simple, abstract, & neutral. It brings a sense of modernism through the high contrast of colors, but also a softness in the curves.

  • Frame: Canvas, Classic Black

  • Where to place it: above a couch or in a gallery wall

  • Pairs well with: History Repeats

2. “Mother Holds

  • I love the bright blues and greens in their piece to really add a pop of color to a room. The colors pair well with leather, dark woods, and of course, plants.

  • Frame: Art Print, Classic White

  • Where to place it: Large statement piece in dining room or above bed

  • Pairs well with: Tropical Flora

  • This abstract print is the perfect balance of femininity and strength. I love the emotion it evokes - powerful but beautiful - and strikes a balance between the sharp black and the light yellows and pinks. Plus the name of the piece really says it all.

  • Frame: Canvas, Premium Ash Wood

  • Where to place it: In an office or study

  • Pairs well with: From the Ashes

4. “Fallen” (check it out in my #SheSanctuaryProject)

#SheSanctuaryProject
  • I love blurred photography. It makes the viewer take a little longer to appreciate the picture and use their imagination to wonder where it takes place, what’s the subject, etc.

  • Frame: Aluminum Mounted Acrylic

  • Where to place it: Above a bed or in a gallery wall

    5. “Misty Lake

  • If you love neutrals, landscape art or Studio McGee this is the piece for you. It’s a soft lake landscape with muted blues & greens, perfect for the modern farmhouse or California coastal look. (Also comes in black & white)

  • Frame: Canvas, Classic Walnut

  • Where to place it: In an entryway or dining room above a console table

  • Pairs well with: Misty Lake II

  • Black. White. Modern. Abstract. What’s not to love? This piece is bold but neutral and if you prefer it to be a little less shocking, purchase it in a smaller size and frame it with a large white matte.

  • Frame: Art Print, Classic Black

  • Where to place it: gallery wall around a tv or hallway

  • Pairs well with: anything!

7. “Growth II

  • Green grey is one of the paint colors of the year for 2022 so of course I had to include it in my favorite art choices. This print is all about spring - the season of freshness, new life, and positive energy. It encourages us to begin a new chapter and make a fresh start.

  • Frame: Canvas, Premium Wood Ash

  • Where to place it: Above a bed or couch

  • Pairs well with: Growth I

8. “Arches”

  • This abstract piece is by the same artist as number seven and has 6 color options (but I especially like it in Cappuccino Brown). It’s earthy, calming, and gives me the feeling of working away at a cozy, artsy coffee shop.

  • Frame: Art Print, Matte Brass

  • Where to Place it: Bedroom or entryway above a wooden bench

  • Pairs well with: Rumba I

9. “Summer Handstand”

  • I love that this photo feels whimsical and somehow a little risqué while still being tasteful and calming. It’s available in blue tones and black & white. It adds a touch of summer to any room - even if you don’t live on the beach.

  • Frame: Canvas, Classic White

  • Where to place it: in a bathroom or as part of a gallery wall

  • Pairs well with: Let’s All Ride

10. “Magnolia Study”

  • This elegant, modern drawing adds a nice organic touch to a room. Botanical pieces are great to work in when you live in the city or don’t have nearby access to nature so you feel a bit more connected to the outdoors. This comes in 6 different shades.

  • Frame: Canvas, Premium Ash Wood

  • Where to place it: nursery or kitchen

  • Pairs well with: Leaves and Flowers
