The best sofas to buy online
I get it - buying a sofa is scary! It’s a big investment and usually one of the largest furniture items in our home. Not to mention the amount of time we spend on our sofas eating, relaxing, binging Netflix, maybe even working, so it’s important that they are comfortable, durable and stand the test of time.
Back in the day (aka not that long ago) it was unfathomable to think about purchasing a sofa without sitting on it first and being able to test it out. But today, there are tons of vendors selling sofas online and people are buying! You can read hundreds of reviews before pulling the trigger, and most brands offer generous return policies. So how do we know what’s good and what’s not?
Luckily because my business is entirely run online, I’ve had clients purchasing sofas this way for the past year and have rounded up a few of the favorites.

If you’re looking to invest, this couch is an amazing option. It’s super comfortable, goes with any design style, and is well-built. The leather will only get cozier and more worn as time goes on and is scratch resistant for all you pet owners. It’s got tons of customization options so you can design it to perfectly fit your space. My clients had to wait a while for it to arrive, but they are so happy they did!

This couch is the PERFECT Restoration Hardware Cloud Sofa dupe! It has a deep cushion and a cozy soft linen-blend fabric, but is a fraction of the cost. It’s super comfortable and has a very slight pattern in the weaving so you get the white sofa look without being too white and scary to actually sit on. My client who bought this sofa has a black lab and said you barely even notice the hairs.

Ok. I absolutely love West Elm, but to be honest, I don’t love all their sofas. I’ve found that some are thin and uncomfortable even though they look nice. But with the Harmony sectional this is definitely not the case. My clients love this couch and I even got a chance to try it out before I moved and loved it. It has deep cozy cushions, a great long chaise and the 4-piece sectional can comfortably sit 6-7 people. For the fabric, my clients chose Chenille Tweed Pewter, which has withstood hair and slobber and scratches from their adorable Bernese Mountain dog, Fiona.
